While California is packed with wonderful places to live, I have a special affinity for Sacramento. In addition to a lower cost of living, especially over most coastal and metro areas, Sacramento has a lot to offer in lifestyle and location.
Here is why I believe Sacramento is truly the right choice…
We have an expanding art scene, various cultural events, lots of kid’s activities, theatre, and many popular coffee, food, and wine options.
A few of my favorites – B Street Theatre, The Sacramento Theatre Company, Paragary’s, Revolution Wines, and Temple Coffee.
And for Children – The Zoo, Fairytale Town, The California State Railroad Museum, and the Sacramento River Train are fun for the entire family.
There are many places that share our history as a gold rush community starting back in 1848. More than 750K lbs. of gold valued at nearly $2B was extracted in those early years, leading California to become the 31st state. A couple of my favorites…
Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park, in Midtown Sacramento
Old Sacramento – great for shopping, food, and train museums
Beautiful Rivers and Lakes
Located between the Sierras and the Pacific, Sacramento has its own outdoor waterways to explore. The American River is lined with more a dozen parks and offers boating, fishing, rafting, hiking, and more.
Folsom Lake, just 25 miles east of Sacramento, is an ideal spot for watersport enthusiast.
The Sacramento River is the largest river in California. River Cruises are exceptionally relaxing and wonderful way to enjoy a cocktail and our gorgeous sunsets.
